LeBron James, Keyshia Cole, & More Share Personal Impact Of LA Fires

Tina Knowles, Jhene Aiko, Kid Cudi, Keyshia Cole, LeBron James, and other celebrities are sharing their personal experiences of loss and evacuation amid the severe wildfires in Los Angeles.

On Tuesday (January 7), severe wildfires began to engulf several parts of Los Angeles, leaving thousands of residents displaced and countless homes and businesses burned.

Aiko revealed on Instagram Thursday (January 9) that her family home "burned to the ground" amid the Los Angeles wildfires. The singer noted that she and her children, Noah Hasani, 2, whom she shares with rapper Big Sean, and Namiko Love, 16, are safe.

"Praying for everyone this morning," Aiko wrote on Instagram. "those who lost their home, those who lost their life's work, those who lost their life. praying for my city. praying for the wild life and lost pets. praying for the world 💙."

Knowles, Beyonce's mother, also took to social media on Thursday to share that she had lost her Malibu home.

"This is what I was looking at on my birthday this past weekend from my tiny little bungalow on the water in Malibu!" Knowles wrote, sharing a video of the ocean near her home. "It was my favorite place, my sanctuary , my sacred Happy Place . Now it is gone !! God Bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions . We Thankyou for your dedication and bravery and for saving so many lives."

Cudi informed his Instagram followers that he was safe after having to evacuate his home.

"If you have to evacuate, get out immediately. Don’t hesitate. Be safe, L.A. Love you guys," the artist said via his Instagram Story.

Chrissy Teigen shared her feelings of fear on Instagram and said she was "packing" at home with her husband and singer, John Legend.

On Wednesday (January 8), Rapper D-Nice posted a photo of the wildfires from his roof deck.

"It’s truly heartbreaking out here in Los Angeles. I’m sharing this from my roof deck, witnessing the devastation around us," D-Nice wrote on social media alongside the photo. "My family and I had to evacuate, and our thoughts are with everyone affected by these wildfires. We’re praying for safety and strength for all those impacted during this difficult time."

Actress Holly Peete said she lost power amid the wildfires in Los Angeles.

"Los Angeles needs love and prayers right now. We need compassion and community… there are too many families-that we know personally who have lost their homes and/ or businesses and there is still no way to contain this fire until the wind stops," Peete wrote on Instagram.

On Thursday, television host Shaun Robinson shared a fire update, saying she has her bags packed and is ready to evacuate if needed.

"Thank you to my family and friends who have been calling and texting to check on me. I love you dearly. I am good. I have my bags packed in case we have to evacuate. Please pray for the people of #PacificPalisades and #Altadena and all the areas that have been affected. If you are in a fire area, please download the @watchdutyapp! It gives up-to-date information on the fires, evacuation orders, etc. Stay safe!" Robinson wrote on Instagram.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bozoma Saint John took to Instagram to share that her home had burned down in the wildfires.

"This was my EFF YOU I’m here house," she wrote in part. "This is the house where I finally felt like I could choose to spend time… when I wanted to and how I wanted to. It is gone. This is an unimaginable loss. I grieve with the rest of Los Angeles as it burns."

Keyshia Cole also reportedly lost her home amid the Los Angeles wildfires.

On Monday (January 13), Cole's hairstylist, Jonathan Wright, shared photos and videos of damage to her property.

"@keyshiacole Prayers to Freen and her Kids and family I ask everyone to send them a Prayer up lift her spirits She was also affected by the Fire," Wright wrote on Instagram. "Literally a week ago we in Miami to come home to this is crazy like mind Blowing 🙏🙏🙏 Freenn wasn’t gone say nothing I feel like she should cause this shii is crazy how this happened to everyone."

On Saturday (January 11), comedian Deon Cole shared that he had to evacuate his home shortly after being released from the hospital. It's unclear what caused Cole's hospitalization.

"This day is devastating!!!! Left the hospital earlier, sick af, went home, then had to packed what I could to evacuate," Cole wrote on Instagram Saturday. "As I drove away I seen the fire rising from behind my house, It’s a nightmare!!!"

Tennis star Naomi Osaka, who is currently competing in the Australian Open, revealed she had someone retrieve her daughter's birth certification after finding out the wildfires were "three blocks from my house."

“I was watching the fire map, and the fire is like three blocks from my house. So I had someone go and get my daughter’s birth certificate and all that because I didn’t know what would happen if that burned down,” Osaka said following her first-round win at the Australian Open.

“Sending all my love to LA. I know we hear about fires, but for me in particular, I didn’t know how devastating it could be. I just hope everyone’s doing well and I’m sending them all my love.”

Producer Madlib took to social media on Monday to share that he had lost his and his family's home as a result of the Los Angeles wildfires.

His manager, Stacy Epps, shared a post asking for donations for Madlib and his family amid the tragedy.

“We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support in helping legendary producer Madlib and his family rebuild after losing their home, decades of music, and equipment in the devastating LA fires,” they both posted on Instagram.

NBA star LeBron James told reporters on Wednesday (January 15) that he and his family had to evacuate their home amid the ongoing wildfires.

"Personally, I've been off," James said following the Los Angeles Lakers' win over the Miami Heat Wednesday. "Personally, my family, we've been evacuated since Thursday night, so I've been in a hotel since pretty much when we got back from Dallas. So, just figuring it out. But staying strong for one another. Obviously, that's most important."

James also noted that some of his friends lost their homes in the fires.

"I have a couple of dear friends that have lost their homes in the Palisades. Obviously, my heart goes out to all of the families, all across not only the Palisades, but all across L.A. County and all the surrounding areas because of the fire. ... It's been a lot of emotions. Kind of been off. Personally, I've been off."
