WNBA rookie Angel Reese is getting her own signature sneaker.
On Thursday (October 25), Reebok and Reese announced that the two parties had agreed to a multi-year contract extension with a signature shoe release planned for 2026, per Sports Illustrated. Reebook first partnered with Reese in 2023 ahead of her last season with the LSU Tigers. Reese made history as the brand's first-ever major NIL signing, and she was the first signing under Shaquille O'Neal, the newly appointed President of Reebok Basketball.
The Chicago Sky forward discussed her Reebok partnership and upcoming signature shoe with O'Neal on her podcast, "Unapologetically Angel."
"I'm extremely excited to let you guys know that we are officially coming out with a Reebok by Angel signature shoe!" Reese said.
"We've already kicked off the design process, and it means the world to me to have Reebok's full support and confidence with this shoe and overall partnership. A signature shoe has always been a dream of mine, and I want all the young girls out there to remember that anything is possible."
The news of the signature shoe comes a few months after the brand released a collaborative footwear and apparel collection with the basketball star called Reebok by Angel. Reese also debuted the brand's new performance basketball sneaker, the Reebok Engine A, earlier this year during a game against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. The performance shoe is scheduled to be released in spring 2025.
"Reebok and Angel are growing together every day, and our visions for the future are aligned," Head of Reebok Basketball Jide Osifeso said in a statement. "We're excited to continue the relationship with a ground-up build of her first signature silhouette."
