Grabbing a bite to eat with friends or having a date night with your partner is always a good time, but you don't always have to dine at the most popular eateries and chain restaurants to have a great meal. Sometimes the most delicious plates can be found hiding away in family-run establishments with secret recipes, pop-ups started by friends that grew into community staples or hidden gems with the tastiest bites for an affordable price.

Using reviews, awards and accolades, and first-hand experience, LoveFood compiled a list of the "most charming" restaurants around the country, selecting the most "delightful" spot in every state "from historic buildings turned into boutique restaurants to romantic date venues with breathtaking views."

According to the site, the most charming eatery in all of Georgia is Appalachian Grill. Located north of Atlanta, this restaurant is a uniquely-decorated establishment with equally interesting options on its vast menu. Appalachian Grill, which has a 4.4 star rating on Google and over 1,700 reviews, is located at 14 E Church Street in Cartersville.

Here's what LoveFood had to say about this inviting eatery:

"Set in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains, Appalachian Grill resembles a cozy alpine cabin thanks to its antique artwork, exposed brick walls, and skis and poles mounted on the walls. The menu is just as tempting as the decor, with plenty of sophisticated comfort food including seafood pasta, blackened salmon and shrimp, pecan chicken, and barbecue pork chop."
