The Miami model accused of fatally stabbing 27-year-old boyfriend Christian Toby Obumseli has been arrested, TMZ reports.

On Wednesday (August 10), Courtney Clenney was reportedly arrested in Hawaii on second-degree murder charges four months after she admittedly stabbed Obumseli with a knife in their Miami apartment.

Frank Prieto, Clenney's lawyer, told TMZ he was "completely shocked" by the arrest because they believe there's enough evidence to uphold the model's prior claim that she acted in "self-defense."

"I'm completely shocked, especially since we were cooperating with the investigation and offered to voluntarily surrender her if she were charged," Prieto said in a statement. We look forward to clearing her name in court.

Prieto claims that Obumseli attacked and choked Clenney, leaving her with "no choice but to meet force with force."

Clenney's lawyer says the model is a victim of domestic violence and human trafficking and was seeking treatment in Hawaii for PTSD and other issues in connection with the case.

However, Obumseli's family has upheld that the 27-year-old wasn't abusive.

The Obumselis have called for Clenney's arrest since the April 3 stabbing.

Surveillance video from a neighboring apartment showed Clenney covered in blood from head to toe following the fatal incident.

Authorities haven't revealed what evidence led them to make the arrest four months after the killing.
