Former NFL Star Marques Colston Donates 10,000 Beverages To Frontline Staff

Super Bowl XLIV Champion Marques Colston has partnered with New Orleans Saints Punter Thomas Morstead and Main Squeeze Juice Company to donate wellness shots, smoothies and other juices to frontline healthcare workers. Kicking off in March, the initiative began in March when the pandemic first hit and has expanded from Louisiana to Texas. Through their work, they have donated an estimated 10,000 beverages to frontline workers.

“In hospitals and clinics around the country, frontline health workers are spending countless hours combatting the disease in our communities and assisting those in need. They are taking on significant personal risk, and maintaining their health is of paramount importance, as is maintaining high energy levels and a clear mind,” Main Squeeze CEO Thomas Nieto said.

“This is the very least we can do to show our appreciation and thank them for the hard work they do every day. We wouldn’t be here without them.”

Main Squeeze Juice Company's products are not regular beverages. The company seeks to provide healthcare workers with immune boosting beverages made with fresh ingredients. Thus far, their most popular product among healthcare workers has been their Cure Shots. Cure Shots boost consumer's immune system with a large amount of Vitamin C.

“Our shots do have a positive impact on your immune system. So with Main Squeeze being a community partner, we reached out to these facilities and really just wanted to do our part to help support the frontline workers that are literally putting their lives on the line every day," Colston said.

"We felt the need to give them something that would help them boost their immune system from a preventative standpoint and, if nothing else, a morale boost to let them know we appreciate what they’re doing.”

Healthcare workers are in need of support now more than an ever. Over the weekend, the U.S. hit its highest single day confirmed COVID-19 case total. With the holidays and flu season fast approaching, the coronavirus pandemic is far from over.
