Ingrid Michaelson Hosts A Royal Dance Party In 'Celebrate' Video

Ingrid Michaelson delivered a playful three-minute ode to Marie Antoinette on Tuesday (June 13) when she teamed up with InStyle.com to premiere her brand-new music video for "Celebrate."

In the clip, which also features collaborator AJR, the crew hosts a royal-themed dance party straight out of the yesteryears with accompanying dance moves from Michael Jackson's "Thriller." "Celebrate" is featured off Michaelson's EP, Alter Egos, which dropped in early May. Filmed entirely at YouTube Space in New York City, Ingridson worked on the visual with choreographer Stacey Tookey from So You Think You Can Dance and director Andrew Elvis Miller, who also directed Ingrid's "Girls Chase Boys" music video.

In a statement for the video, the indie pop singer explained that the purpose of the clip was to relieve folks from all the heaviness happening right now in the world. "I wanted to make the video for 'Celebrate' something that would make people smile, something simple and fun," Michaelson told InStyle.com. "There's a real heaviness to the world right now, people are carrying around such anxiety. I thought it was important to step back from that for a minute and have a laugh and enjoy each other."
